Exercise Overview
The incline chest press machine is a compound exercise that primarily targets the upper chest while also engaging the shoulders and triceps. Using a fixed movement path allows for controlled pressing, making it an effective option for building chest strength and muscle size with reduced stabilization demands.
How To Do It
1. Setup
Adjust the seat height so the handles are level with your upper chest. Sit back firmly against the pad and place your feet flat on the floor.
2. Starting Position
Grip the handles with palms facing forward. Keep your chest lifted, shoulders back, and core engaged.
3. Execution
Press the handles forward and slightly upward until your arms are extended but not locked. Focus on squeezing the chest at the top.
4. Return
Slowly bring the handles back toward your chest under control, maintaining tension throughout the movement.
