Exercise Overview

Box jumps are a plyometric lower-body exercise that develops explosive power, speed, and coordination. By jumping onto an elevated surface, this movement targets the legs and glutes while also improving athletic performance and lower-body strength.

How To Do It

1. Setup

Stand facing a sturdy box with feet shoulder-width apart. Choose a box height that allows you to land safely with control.

2. Starting Position

Bend your knees slightly and hinge at the hips while keeping your chest up and core engaged.

3. Execution

Explosively jump upward and forward onto the box, landing softly with both feet flat and knees slightly bent.

4. Return

Step down carefully one foot at a time and reset before the next repetition.
